Summer 2010 Intern – Surveillance
The Surveillance unit within the Supervision and Regulation department supports supervisory responsibilities by monitoring and analyzing financial and other data concerning the financial institutions the Federal Reserve supervises. Additionally the Surveillance unit identifies emerging risks or potential issues, and reports these to Department, Bank management, Supervision staff, and to the Board of Governors (BOG).
Responsibilities:
1. Analyzes and documents conditions of individual banks, thrifts or credit unions.
2. Research topics and write articles for departmental newsletter.
3. Completes special project as assigned: may participate and assist in field examination or inspection of a state member bank or bank holding company
4. Participate in Bank Internship Expo, creating and presenting a display containing information about the intern experience
Requirements:
1. Working towards Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
2. Experience with Excel and Word
PLEASE NOTE: This position requires access to confidential supervisory information, access to which is limited to "Protected Individuals" as defined by regulation of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System.
